I have a VBA program which starts automatically when the workbook is open using the "auto_open" sub routine. I would like to use this piece of code to disable the macro virus protection so the user doesn't see the pop up dialog box. My question is how will this code work if the virus protection checkbox has been checked i.e. Excel will automatically look for any macros attached to the workbook before excuting the disable macro protection code. Hence it will always ask the user before the code is excuted? Where should the code go? At present I have referred to the function in my "auto_open" sub. This doesn't work. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks, MRH
